Workshop summary

This workshop covers BC’s legal protections for workers under the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code, and offers clarity around what an employer can and cannot legally do.  

If someone experiences unfair treatment at work, it is never their fault and there are resources (legal and nonlegal) that can support them.

Our workshops are available for booking at least six weeks in advance of your desired date. Please email Suyu at youth@westcoastleaf.org to make a booking. 

2.5 hours is the standard workshop run time. However, we may be able to customize a workshop for you if this length will not work. Please contact us to discuss if you are interested in this option.

We take a flexible approach. We appreciate an honorarium if you have the budget for that. We are committed to making our education programs accessible and can sometimes offer this workshop for free or for a lower fee if that would be better for you.

This workshop is available on Zoom or in-person in Metro Vancouver. Capacity permitting, we can consider requests for in-person workshops in other areas of BC if you can fund facilitator travel.
