Workshop summary
In this seven-hour workshop, participants will:
- Explore the potential and limitations of Canadian equality law by looking at real case examples
- Identify actions and policies that violate the equality rights protections of the Charter and of BC’s Human Rights Code
- Strategize about challenging systemic discrimination using legal and non-legal tools

We take a flexible approach. We appreciate an honorarium if you have the budget for that. We are committed to making our education programs accessible and can sometimes offer this workshop for free or for a lower fee if that would be better for you.
This workshop is available on Zoom or in-person in Metro Vancouver. Capacity permitting, we can consider requests for in-person workshops in other areas of BC if you can fund facilitator travel.
