June 2026 marks the second annual Stolen Children’s Month—a month of global vigils and actions to honor children stolen by the family policing, incarceration, and immigration systems. These systems include the colonial systems of family separation under the residential school system, the Sixties Scoop, and Millennial Scoop.
We invite you to join us in so-called Vancouver on June 25, 2026, for a Vigil for Stolen Children to uplift the voices of stolen children and their families.
The vigil is hosted by Melanie Lecoy and lilly-rose, with support from Keeping Families Together and West Coast LEAF. We’ll gather in community to listen to speakers, create art together, and share food.
